What is Korero Connect?
Korero Connect is a dance-class booking platform built around group classes. Instead of booking a fixed timetable, you join a class with other learners and our system finds the lesson times that fit everyone’s schedule — yours, your classmates’, the instructor’s and the studio’s.

1. Create your account
Head to the sign-up pageand choose how you’d like to register:
- Continue with Google— the fastest option. One tap and you’re in.
- Email & password— enter your email, create a password, then confirm via the link we email you.
Already have an account? Use the login pageinstead. Forgot your password? There’s a reset link right on that page.
2. Set up your profile
Open the Profile page and add a display name and a photo. Your classmates and instructor will see this once a class is confirmed, so it helps everyone recognise each other on the day.
- Add a clear display name (your real name or a nickname).
- Upload an avatar so your class can spot you.
3. Class types & prices
There are three class formats. Each one has a fixed number of lessons and a fixed total price, shared per person.
| Class type | Lessons | Each lesson | Deposit | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No MV | 4 lessons | 60 min | S$50 | S$100 |
| Half Song | 8 lessons | 90 min | S$50 | S$200 |
| Full Song | 12 lessons | 90 min | S$50 | S$300 |
- Deposit— a small part of the total, paid up front from your balance to reserve your place while the class fills up and gets scheduled.
- Total— the full price per person. After a schedule is locked in, you pay the remainder (total minus your deposit) to confirm your spot.
4. Top up your balance
Korero Connect uses a prepaid balance. You add credit once, then use it to pay deposits and class fees — no re-entering card details every time.
- 1Go to the Balance page.
- 2Tap Top up balance and choose an amount.
- 3You’ll be taken to Stripe to pay securely by card or PayNow.
- 4Once payment succeeds, the credit appears in your balance instantly and you’re returned to the app.
5. Find & join a class
Open Browse to see every class that’s currently open and looking for members. Each card shows you the essentials:
Joining
Open a class that interests you, pick the role you want to dance (roles are defined by whoever created the class — for example positions or parts), and confirm. Your deposit is taken from your balance to hold your place.
Every class you create or join shows up under My Classes, where you can track its status and take any actions needed.
6. Set your availability
This is the most important step — it’s how the schedule gets built.
On the Availability page, mark the times you can attend lessons. There are two ways to do it:
- Weekly availability— recurring slots like “every Tuesday 6–9pm”. Set this once and it repeats automatically.
- One-off changes— block a date you’re away, or add extra availability for a specific day.
7. How matching works
The part that happens behind the scenes.
Once a class has its members, Korero Connect compares everyone’s availability — all the students, the instructor and the studio — and looks for lesson times that work for everybody.
- It only suggests times when everyone is free and the studio is open.
- Lessons are spread out across different dayswith rest in between — never two lessons crammed together.
- Everything is scheduled within the date range the class was set up for.
When a workable schedule is found, the class moves to Matchedand the instructor picks the final lesson dates from the available options. If no schedule fits yet, the class stays open — adding more availability (or adjusting the group) usually unblocks it.
8. Pay & confirm your booking
After the schedule is locked in, each member pays the remainderof their class fee (the total minus the deposit you already paid) from their balance. You’ll be prompted right on the class page.
- 1Open the class from My Classes.
- 2Tap the payment prompt and confirm. Top up first if your balance is short.
- 3Once everyone has paid, an admin confirms the booking and the class becomes Booked.
9. Attend your lessons
Create your own class
Can’t find the class you want? Start one and invite others to join.
From the Create a class wizard, you’ll set up the class step by step:
- 1Class type — No MV, Half Song or Full Song.
- 2Studio — where you’d like to dance.
- 3Song — the routine you want to learn.
- 4Roles— the positions in the class and how many people each one needs.
- 5Your role — which spot you’ll take.
- 6Date range— the window the lessons should fall within.
- 7Instructor— optionally assign one.
When you submit, your deposit is reserved and the class is sent for a quick admin review. Once approved, it appears on the Browse page for others to join.
